Paraset Panel ~ Test Fit

Here are the results of much metal punching, drilling, sanding, and filing.  My 20 year old punches had a tough time with the tube socket holes in this steel. The knobs are too modern and I  do not have the correct ball handle toggle switch yet.

Several differences from an original Paraset are on this version;  First there is a 1/4" panel jack I intend for my J-37 Key~ in order to accomodate that I rotated the lamp holder (seen on the left) to move it out of the way.  Secondly, the tabs for the Choke are not 4 mounting hole but two (seen on Rt. side):

Z the cat gives design approval or indifference:

The parts I had trouble locating were the crystal holder, I found a handfull of these Z types which have the same 0.75 pin spacing but not a bananna jack compatiable pin. I found by some experimnetation that RCA jacks fit the pins nicely.  This may open the possibility to feeding the paraset with an external signal? We will see:

There are a couple of part fabrications that are mini-projects to do, the friction drive for the Receiver tuning and the internal key.

I  did not drill  the holes for the small tuning knob ( may be elongated for adjustment)  or the key yet. ( need to see if I can find the clear plastic to fabricate)
